What it means

Winning AI visibility in Germany

Brand websites supply a larger share of citations in Germany than in any other large market in the benchmark, more than four in ten. German AI engines read your own site closely, so German-language product, specification and policy pages that state the facts plainly are the first GEO priority.

Questions asked in German pull in German sources. National tech titles, consumer-protection bodies and regulators dominate the most-cited lists, and international English-language titles play a supporting role. An English-only media and content plan misses most of the source set.

LinkedIn is barely cited in Germany, unlike the UK, Singapore or India. Google AI Overviews still cites YouTube in more than a third of answers. Put effort into German-language video and German specialist press rather than LinkedIn thought leadership when the goal is AI visibility.

Local sources. German answers cite German sources: CHIP, COMPUTER BILD and HIFI.DE in consumer tech; Verbraucherzentrale, Bundesnetzagentur and Finanztip for consumer and money questions; vfa and Handelsblatt in healthcare; OMR, Handelsblatt and Statista in technology.
